The solution is composed of two parts:
- Teltonika hardware (GH5200)
- Instanta monitoring platform
The social distancing hardware (Teltonika GH5200)
GH5200 is a personal device which can be worn around the neck as a badge that holds an ID card and will vibrate whenever an employee also wearing the device breaches the social distancing rule. GH5200 is an autonomous personal tracker with GNSS, GSM and Bluetooth connectivity.
The social distancing monitoring platform
The hardware described above transmits the collected data to the powerful Instanta telematics software over GPRS network, which then enables management to monitor the employees’ interaction with one another, receive instant notification for breach of social distancing rules and generate reports for contact tracing.
As shown in the image above, the admin user can remotely configure the device and set up basic parameter such as:
- The safe distance length
- The length of time that should elapse before an alert is sent to the server or supervisors (in seconds)
- The alert rule to indicate which supervisors should receive social distance breach notification via email, SMS or push notification
In the event of any social distancing violation, the device alarm system will keep beeping until the employees return to a safe distance from each other. The supervisor will stay in the loop of any dangerous contacts by getting notifications on the web app or mobile app.
